"The Guardian" is the eleventh episode of the fifth season of American Housewife and the one hundred first episode overall. Written by Jeremy Hall and directed by Randall Winston, it aired on March 3, 2021.

Plot[]

With Oliver and Taylor beginning to take care of themselves, Greg tries to determine who would be Anna-Kat's guardian should something happen to both him and Katie. Katie's mother Kathryn is the only nearby relative, but Greg has major reservations about her caretaking abilities. However, after Oliver and Taylor work through a quarrel and start getting along, Greg and Katie start to see them as possible guardians. Meanwhile, J.D. tries to meet with his potential egg donors without them finding out why. After dismissing one woman, he makes a connection with the second, but soon fears the woman may be under the impression that they are dating.
