Midlife Crisis is the fourteenth episode of the second season of American Housewife, and the thirty-seventh episode overall. Written by Sarah Dunn and directed by Rebecca Asher, it aired on January 24, 2018.


While arguing with Chloe Brown Mueller, who wants to put her campaign signs on Katie's lawn, Katie learns that Chloe's successful husband Stan had a midlife crisis and is somewhere in Tibet. With Oliver showing signs of heading toward the same kind of life as Stan, Katie decides to get her son's midlife crisis over now, involving him in a revenge prank against Chloe. Meanwhile, Greg has lost his only male friend with Stan gone, so Anna-Kat tries to set him up with some dads at the playground.

Taylor: why don’t you take Anna-Kat to the park. There’s lots of friends to hang out with.

Greg: I don’t know?

Anna-Kat: Hey, anyone would be lucky to be your friend.

Greg: OK

(Katie comes downstairs)

Greg: alright everybody get in the car.

Anna-Kat: (to Taylor) way to go mcdummy.

Taylor: (glares at Anna-Kat)

Anna-Kat: (smiles) nothing. (Giggles)

Taylor: it was nothing really? If that’s what you say so.

(8:30 AM)

Anna-Kat: just please stop.

Kristina: ok. Then I’ll be talking about the penis.

Anna-Kat: (giggles quietly)

Kristina: or the vagina, the testicles, the scrotum, sexual intercourse and the sex cells.

Carly: (laughing hysterically because of what Kristina said about the private parts that boys and girls have)

Katie: Anna-Kat come here please.

Anna-Kat: (goes to Katie) what is it mama?

Katie: so you behaved for daddy yesterday?

Anna-Kat: yeah.

Katie: I am so proud of you. You just earned a tally. (Writes a tally on the reward systems list)

Anna-Kat: (gasps happily) thanks mama. (Both hug)

Katie: your welcome sweetheart. Now you can have this. (Hands Anna-Kat the iPad)

Anna-Kat: (gasps happily and claps her hands and uses the iPad)

Katie: (chuckles)
