Aaron Kaplan

Aaron Scott Kaplan is an executive producer of ABC sitcom American Housewife and CEO of Kapital Entertainment.

Biography[]

Early life[]

Not much is known about Aaron Kaplan's early life. He graduated from University of Southern California's Marshall School of Business. To this day, he remains an active alum.

Career[]

At one point of his life, Kaplan became a teacher at the School of Cinematic Arts. Eventually, he left his job and, in 1991, started serving as the Worldwide Head of Scripted Content at the William Morris Agency, where he was also on the Board of Directors.

Eventually, Aaron Kaplan left the William Morris Agency in 2009, and decided to start producing pilots and series. During his career as producer, he worked for all major broadcast networks, as well as HBO, Showtime, Netflix, Freeform and Nickelodeon. That same year, he created his own independent production company: Kapital Entertainment. The company produced multiple series like The Mysteries of Laura, The NeighborhoodLife in Pieces and Santa Clarita Diet, among others.

In 2016, Kaplan became an executive producer for ABC sitcom American Housewife.

In March 2017, Aaron Kaplan teamed up with fellow top USC alumni to launch the "First Jobs" program, which provides recent Cinematic Arts graduates their first paid entry-level jobs in the entertainment industry.
